OUR STORY
We don’t manufacture gear. We perform obsessive testing and selection of what actually works.
Think of us as Europe’s independent dive concierge, not a biased manufacturer's storefront. We handpick every piece of gear based on real-world performance, ensuring you get the absolute best tool for the job.
HOW WE STARTED
Frustration is a powerful motivator.
Before ScubaGarden was a storefront, it was just us trying to piece together reliable, high-performance gear sets in a European market that felt broken. If you wanted depth-rated equipment, you had to choose your poison: a generic marketplace where the customer service team has never seen open water, a restrictive brand-specific storefront pushing their own ecosystem, or a local shop with a fantastic community spirit but a shelf inventory entirely dictated by a single distributor's delivery truck.
We knew European divers deserved something better. We established ScubaGarden to bridge that gap—a completely independent space carrying serious gear from across the industry. We don't just copy and paste the manufacturer's flattering technical sheets; we actively test every piece of equipment against real diving conditions. When you look at our store, you'll find honest, human product pages that explain exactly what a piece of gear does for your dive, keeping your safety and experience ahead of the price tag.
OUR PROCESS
How gear earns a place on this site
We test in real conditions
Regulators in cold quarry water, dive computers compared side-by-side on the same reef dive — not just read off a spec sheet.
We verify the certifications
Depth ratings, CE markings, and certification-level requirements are checked against manufacturer documentation before anything goes live.
We disclose what it's made of
Materials, care requirements, and sustainability claims are listed plainly on every product page — no vague "eco-friendly" labels without substance.
We reject what doesn't hold up
If a product doesn't perform the way its listing claims during our own testing, it doesn't get listed — regardless of the brand behind it.
