OUR COMMITMENT
Performance shouldn't cost the reef.
How we choose materials, and what our eco ratings actually mean.
WHY THIS MATTERS
The places we dive are the reason we dive.
Dive gear manufacturing has a real environmental footprint — neoprene production, synthetic fabrics, and plastic hardware all carry a cost. We can't eliminate that, but we can choose which brands we carry based on how seriously they take it, and we can be honest with you about what "sustainable" actually means on each product page — rather than slapping a green leaf icon on everything.
Every product listed with an eco rating below has been checked against the manufacturer's actual material disclosure — not just their marketing copy.
ON EVERY PRODUCT PAGE
What our eco ratings actually mean
No specific sustainability claim from the manufacturer. Still meets our safety and durability bar — this rating just means there's nothing notable to highlight on materials.
Contains a meaningful proportion of recycled or reclaimed material — recycled neoprene, regenerated nylon fabric, or reclaimed rubber — disclosed by the manufacturer with a specific percentage where available.

The materials that actually move the needle
Recycled & Limestone-Based Neoprene
Traditional neoprene is petroleum-derived. Recycled and limestone-based alternatives reduce that dependency without sacrificing flexibility or thermal performance — we prioritize wetsuit and BCD brands using these where the performance trade-off is negligible.
Regenerated Nylon Fabrics
Used in dive bags, fin straps, and soft accessories — made from recovered fishing nets and industrial nylon waste rather than virgin petroleum feedstock.
Responsible Packaging
We push suppliers toward minimal, recyclable, or plastic-free packaging wherever their production process allows it, and we ship in reused or recyclable materials from our own EU hubs.
